Request to the RTB to issue enforcement on a party’s behalf

Parties named on a Determination Order can ask the RTB to issue enforcement proceedings on their behalf. Requests for enforcement must be made on a RTB Enforcement Application form

Parties named on a Determination Order can ask the RTB to issue enforcement proceedings on their behalf. Requests for enforcement must be made on a RTB Enforcement Application Form which can be downloaded here.

Enforcement requests may only be made when the compliance period* has elapsed and the other party has failed to comply with one or more terms of the Determination Order made by the RTB.

*The compliance period runs from the date of issue of the Determination Order, This date can be found on the cover letter enclosing the Determination Order and is not the date the Determination Order was made by the Board. For example, if a Determination Order refers to a compliance period of 7 days (i.e. X has 7n days to pay Y rent arrears) and the Determination Order was posted on 1 January, the compliance period elapses on 8 January.
