Please note:
Tenancies that begin on or after 4 April 2022 will be subject to a new fee structure for Annual Registration. The tenancy commencement date is the date that the tenant is entitled to take up occupation of the dwelling.
Fees for Registration
Private/ Student Specific Accommodation (SSA)/ Cost Rental Tenancies
Application received by the RTB within one month of the tenancy commencement date.
- €40
Application received by the RTB more than one month after the tenancy commencement date.
- €10 for every month (part thereof) that registration is late
A reduced fee subject to a maximum of 10 tenancies in one building being registered by the same landlord at the same time and all received by the RTB within one month of the earliest tenancy commencement date.
- €170
No fee applies to the 2nd and subsequent registration in a 12 month period in respect of the same dwelling, providing they are received within one month of the tenancy commencement date of the new tenancy.

Approved Housing Body (AHB) Tenancies
Application received by the RTB within one month of the tenancy commencement date.

Application received by the RTB more than one month after the tenancy commencement date.
- €5 for every month (part thereof) that registration is late
A reduced fee subject to a maximum of 10 tenancies in one building being registered by the same landlord at the same time and all received by the RTB within one month of the earliest tenancy commencement date.

No fee applies to the 2nd and subsequent registration in a 12 month period in respect of the same dwelling, providing they are received within one month of the tenancy commencement date of the new tenancy.

Where in respect of the same dwelling, a change of tenancy occurs within a 12 month period a maximum of two registration fees apply. 3rd and subsequent no fee applies providing they are received on time.
