The RTB Research and Data Hub

The RTB Research and Data Hub provides information on the number of tenancies registered at a national and regional level, information on the number applications for the RTBs dispute resolution service and up to date rental price developments through the Rent Index.   • RTB Rent Index

    The Rent index is produced by the Residential Tenancies Board and the Economic and Social Research Institute, and provides rental indicators which are generated to track price developments in the Irish private rental market. A selection of these indicators are visualised through the RTB Research and Data Hub, with the trend information available to download.

  • RTB Rental Sector Survey

    This research project, commissioned by the Residential Tenancies Board and undertaken by Amárach Research is a representative survey of tenants and landlords living and operating in the private rented sector in Ireland. This research was published in 2021.

    The Residential Tenancies Board publishes statistics on tenancy registrations each quarter. The RTB Research and Data Hub provides a visualisation of the number of private tenancies registered with the RTB. This information is available to download.

    Approved Housing Bodies (AHBs)  provide and manage social rented housing. They are not for profit organisations formed for the purpose of relieving housing need.

    The Residential Tenancies Board publishes statistics for each quarter on applications for the dispute resolution service. The RTB Research and Data Hub provides a visualisation of the number of applications for the RTBs disputes resolution service and the reason for the dispute application.

  • Notice of Termination received by RTB

    The Residential Tenancies (Amendment) Act 2019 introduced a procedure that requires a landlord, in instances where a tenancy is longer than six months, to send a copy of the notice of termination to the Residential Tenancies Board (RTB)
